Laptop Rental Agreement Terms – Lappyfy®

This Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the rental of laptops and related equipment provided by Lappyfy® to the customer (“Renter”). By renting a laptop from Lappyfy®, whether online or offline, you agree to the following legally binding terms.

1. Rental Services Offered

Lappyfy® provides laptop rental services for:

  1. Corporate offices
  2. Startups
  3. Students
  4. Events & exhibitions
  5. Training programs
  6. Temporary project requirements
  7. Work-from-home setups

Rental devices may include refurbished or certified laptops and accessories.

2. Eligibility

To rent a laptop, the renter must:

  1. Be at least 18 years old
  2. Provide valid government-issued ID
  3. Provide address proof
  4. Submit company documents (for corporate rentals, if required)
  5. Complete payment and security deposit formalities

Lappyfy® reserves the right to reject rental requests at its discretion.

3. Rental Duration

Rental periods may be:

  1. Daily
  2. Weekly
  3. Monthly
  4. Long-term corporate contract

The rental duration will be clearly mentioned in the invoice or written agreement.

Minimum rental period may apply.

4. Rental Charges & Payment Terms

  1. Rental charges must be paid in advance unless otherwise agreed.
  2. Security deposit may be required.
  3. GST is applicable as per Indian tax laws.
  4. Late payment may attract penalties or suspension of service.

Rental fees are non-refundable once the rental period begins.

5. Security Deposit

  1. A refundable security deposit may be collected.
  2. Deposit amount depends on device model and rental duration.
  3. Deposit will be refunded after inspection upon return.
  4. Deductions may apply for damages, missing accessories, or unpaid dues.

Refund timelines: 3–7 business days after device inspection.

6. Delivery & Installation

  1. Rental laptops may be delivered to customer location or picked up from store.
  2. Delivery charges may apply.
  3. Bulk corporate setup may include installation support (if agreed).

Customers must verify device condition at the time of delivery.

7. Use of Rental Equipment

The renter agrees:

  1. To use the laptop responsibly
  2. Not to misuse, tamper, or attempt unauthorized repair
  3. Not to install illegal software
  4. Not to use device for unlawful activities

The rented laptop remains the property of Lappyfy® at all times.

8. Maintenance & Technical Support

During the rental period:

  1. Hardware issues not caused by physical damage will be repaired or replaced.
  2. Software troubleshooting support may be provided.
  3. Replacement device may be provided if repair time exceeds reasonable limit (subject to availability).

9. Damage, Loss & Theft

The renter is fully responsible for:

  1. Physical damage
  2. Liquid damage
  3. Screen damage
  4. Keyboard damage
  5. Missing parts or accessories
  6. Theft or loss of device

In case of loss or irreparable damage:

  1. Renter must pay current market value of device.
  2. Security deposit may be adjusted against damages.

Police FIR may be required in theft cases.

10. Data Responsibility

  1. Renter is responsible for backing up all data.
  2. Lappyfy® is not liable for data loss during service, maintenance, or formatting.
  3. Devices may be formatted before or after rental period.

11. Late Return Policy

  1. Late return may attract additional daily rental charges.
  2. Continued delay beyond agreed period may result in legal recovery action.
  3. Failure to return device may lead to civil or criminal proceedings.

12. Inspection at Return

Upon return:

  1. Device will be inspected for physical and technical condition.
  2. Missing accessories will be charged.
  3. Damage repair cost will be deducted from deposit.

Final settlement will be shared with renter.

13. Cancellation Policy

  1. Cancellation before dispatch may be allowed.
  2. Cancellation after delivery may attract minimum rental charge.
  3. Custom-configured rentals may not be eligible for cancellation.

14. Ownership & Title

All rented laptops remain sole property of Lappyfy®.

Renter does not acquire ownership rights under any circumstances.

15. Limitation of Liability

Lappyfy® shall not be liable for:

  1. Business loss
  2. Data loss
  3. Indirect damages
  4. Loss due to misuse

Maximum liability shall not exceed total rental fees paid.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of India.

Any disputes shall fall under jurisdiction of courts in:

17. Modification of Terms

Lappyfy® reserves the right to update rental terms at any time. Updated terms will apply to new rental agreements.
